Device Manager

The SenNet Device Manager Platform enables secure, remote management of the installed base of devices, making it an essential tool for integrators to offer their customers a service that guarantees the correct maintenance of the equipment. Thanks to a Device Manager, it offers visibility of all connected SenNet dataloggers and devices in order to have accessible and structured information: configuration parameters, status, software and hardware versions, licenses, classification labels at the integrator’s discretion, etc.

Device Manager also offers remote access to update versions, modify configuration parameters, monitor device operation in real time, etc.

With Device Manager you will have all the information and access to the dataloggers through a platform with totally secure communication.

The remote connection of the dataloggers through the VPN is managed in such a way that it does not imply an unexpected consumption of data, since the integrator can establish three modes of access of the dataloggers to the Devicde Manager:

– On Demand” (manual activation of the VPN, the rest of the time it is disconnected)

– “One a day” (the datalogger will activate the VPN once a day to update the information, then deactivate it)

– “Allways” (permanently on).

The integrator can display the installed base of dataloggers, in table form or on a map, identifying the equipment and its status. The dataloggers can be filtered based on a flexible system of TAG’s to quickly access those that are desired according to type, project, end user, etc.

If the datalogger has the “One to Day” mode activated, the configuration and status information will be updated in the Device Manager, since the equipment automatically sends any relevant configuration or status changes that occur in the equipment, only notifying the changes to minimize data consumption.

In any case, the integrator always has the option to manually download files into the datalogger, either configuration, status or captured data stored in the microSD.

From the Device Manager you can send configuration files to a datalogger or a group of dataloggers.

From the Device Manager the management of the datalogger application versions is very simple. The versions of each device can be displayed and secure updates can be performed for individual devices as well as for a set of devices.

A very useful tool of the Device Manager is the remote and real time monitoring of the operation of the dataloggers. By means of this utility it is possible to visualize what the equipment is doing in each moment allowing to obtain information of each process, as well as the data captured from the devices connected to the dataloggers. This option is a powerful diagnostic tool for any incident.

In addition to sending files, the equipment has a tool to modify the parameters without having to access the datalogger web server.

The integrator has the ability to define users with different levels of functionality and associate them with specific dataloggers within their organization. In this way, if he considers it convenient, he can give his customers access to use Device Manager as well.
